Every employer, employee, self employed, business large or small has legal responsibilities to comply with as follows,

  • The health and safety at work act 1974
  • The management of health and safety at work regulations 1999
  • The provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998
  • The electricity at work regulations 1989
  • Workplace health safety and welfare regulations 1992
  • The IEE code of practice 3rd edition
  • The 17th edition wiring regulations
  • Negligence is not an excuse and serious fines and custodial sentences are often presented in court of law to people who act in breech of the above.
